Another day, maybe Xander walked into Seattle Grace Hospital and headed for the surgery wing. He was here to get a glass eye. After the third time being arrested in Africa and after the fifth being detained at an airport for ’looking suspicious,’ he decided enough was enough. Sure the eye-patch helped deter other sorts of people from bothering him, absolutely nothing, nothing was worth sitting in a dirt floor cell with nothing but a hole in the ground....
Xander came to on a red beach. While this was unusual, it wasn’t the strangest thing that he had seen. The red sand made the water near the shore look bloody, as the crashing waves churned the sand. The cliffs nearby were also red. Slowly standing up and dusting himself off, he began to wander up the path, away from the beach. Xander was mildly curious about where he was and how he got there....
First Day Jitters It was Xander’s first day at CalSci and he was fifteen minutes early for his class. His foot was nervously twitching atop his knee. The smallish desk in front of him was covered in very precisely placed school-type objects. Xander didn’t really know what he was doing here. If his life were a time line, then he would have trouble with connecting to the dot he is currently inhabiting to the previous dot on the line....
Xander, meet Kyle Prologue Xander was contemplative as the ‘Welcome to Sunnydale’ sign receded in the distance. He had never really expected to survive graduation. Instead, he had lead his classmates in a battle against the Mayor. He had lived, but several others had died. In the aftermath of graduation so many things had changed. Angel left, yet again breaking Buffy’s heart. Everyone in the gang had started to seriously consider their future, which is when Xander noticed that he didn’t have much of one....
Chapter One Waking to a nightmare Xander was never able to quite remember what happened. He remembered the demons (because there were always demons when badness happened). Remembers rushing in to save the human sacrifice du jour. Can still hear the chanting demons and almost visualize the scene before the flash of light and everything going dark. The next thing he remembers is waking up and seeing uber-concerned Willow-face. This immediately worried him....
When Stiles came awake he was pissed. He almost wished he had a moment of disorientation instead of being perfectly aware of where he was and what had happened. Some asshole vampire had turned him. He was not going to let her get away with it. He looked around and several pieces of wood would work quite nicely as an emergency stake. Christ, but he was thirsty. Because he needed to drink blood....
Part 1 The Meeting It was Ryan’s first day on the site, working to fix the structural problems left behind by the previous, and seriously incompetent, architect. He was still very junior employee at the firm he had joined after graduating at Berkeley. It was a San Francisco company, which allowed him to stay close to the Cohens. Today he was meeting with the foreman of the construction crew, to get up to speed on what had been done so far and what could be done to fix the mess they were in....
Changes Xander knew that something was wrong when he stopped being able to eat Twinkies. In fact, Xander was pretty sure that it was the end of the world. Maybe not the world-world, but certainly his world, when the day came that he couldn’t eat Twinkies anymore. It wasn’t that he didn’t like the taste, he did. It also wasn’t that he was suddenly concerned about his weight and health, he wasn’t....
